# How to work through your Agent Inbox

The **Agent Inbox** is the second view of the Agent panel, beside **Chat**. It holds the items the
Agent has brought to you rather than ones you asked for: a late task to settle, a finding to act
on, a suggested change to review. See <Ref to="analyst" /> for the Agent itself.

At Fairgreen Golf Co., Priya Raman opens the panel each morning and presses **Inbox**. Two late
tasks wait there as cards, and she settles both with **Done** and **Pick a new date** before
reading her chat.

## How do you open it? [#how-do-you-open-it]

Open the Agent panel with the sparkle on the right edge of any page, then press **Inbox** at the
top of the panel. A number beside **Inbox** counts the items you have not read yet.

Press **Chat** to go back to your conversation. What you had typed in the message box is still
there.

## What lands in it? [#what-lands-in-it]

* **Late-task check-ins**, one card per late task, covered in
  <Ref to="analyst/check-in-on-late-tasks" />.
* **Follow-ups on saved findings**, where an admin has switched them on and picked you as a
  recipient, per <Ref to="analyst/add-the-assistant-to-chat" />.
* **Suggested changes** the Agent prepared for you to review.

The Inbox fills in a workspace where Tideswell has switched it on. Until then it reads "No items
needing your attention in the connected sources." and check-ins come by direct message instead.

## What are Needs attention, Done and All? [#what-are-needs-attention-done-and-all]

Three views of the same list. **Needs attention** is what is still open for you, **Done** is what
you finished, and **All** is both. The Inbox opens on **Needs attention**.

## What does a card show? [#what-does-a-card-show]

Its title, an **Unread** tag until you have read it, a short summary and how long ago it was
noticed. Most cards also list the records they are about as links, so you can open the task or
order in one press.

A late-task check-in shows the task as a chip instead, with **Done** and **Pick a new date**.

## What do the buttons do? [#what-do-the-buttons-do]

The buttons sit on one row at the foot of the card. The ones that answer the item come first, with
their names on them: **Done** and **Pick a new date** on a check-in, or **Review here** on a
suggested change (**Hide review** folds it away again).

Small icons at the end of the row do the rest. Point at one to see its name:

* **Ask agent** opens the item in **Chat**, so you can ask the Agent about it.
* **Mark read** clears the **Unread** tag.
* **Done for me** moves the item to **Done**.
* **Snooze 1 day** hides it until the same time tomorrow, and the card says until when.
* **Dismiss** takes it out of **Needs attention** without doing it.
* **Bring back** returns a done or dismissed item to **Needs attention**.

The note under these cards reads "Read, done, dismiss, and snooze change only your Inbox. They do
not approve or resolve the business action." So **Done for me** on a finding about a late purchase
order does not change the order. Approve the change, or change the order itself.

## Who else sees your Inbox? [#who-else-sees-your-inbox]

Nobody. Each person's Inbox is their own. A check-in card shows only while you can still open its
task.

## Where can you use it? [#where-can-you-use-it]

On the web, in the Agent panel on a computer or in a phone browser. The Tideswell iPhone app keeps
to chat and tasks, per <Ref to="phone" />, so settle Inbox cards from the web.
