# What is on your account page?



Your account page holds the settings that are **yours** rather than the workspace's. Reach it
from the avatar menu at the foot of the sidebar, then **Account settings**.

Unlike **Settings**, this is not admin-only. Every signed-in person has one.

## What is on it? [#what-is-on-it]

Three sections.

* **Your profile**: display name, handle, photo and the email you sign in with. See

* **Notifications** and **What buzzes you**: turning notifications on for this device, quiet
  hours, your default for channels, and the per-category switches. See
  <Ref to="notifications" />.
* **Out of office**: handing your standing to a colleague while you are away. See
  <Ref to="account/delegation" />.

## Which of these follow you between devices? [#which-of-these-follow-you-between-devices]

Your **profile** and your **preferences** are per person and follow you everywhere.

**Turning notifications on** is per browser and per device. Switching them on for your laptop
does nothing for your phone, and each one has to be done where you want the buzz. See

## What is worth doing on day one? [#what-is-worth-doing-on-day-one]

Three things, and they take about two minutes.

**Set your handle**, because that is what people type to mention you. A handle nobody can guess
means nobody mentions you.

**Add a photo.** Avatars are how people scan a task list and a chat channel, and a wall of
initials is slower to read than it sounds.

**Turn notifications on and send yourself a test.** Believing you have notifications and having
them are different things.

## Is there a password to change? [#is-there-a-password-to-change]

No. Tideswell has no passwords, so there is nothing to reset or rotate.
